We can provide you with full or partial dentures as a solution for missing teeth.

The materials that our dentures are made from include acrylic, chrome or the new flexible Valplast®, a lightweight, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing denture solution. Valplast® is virtually invisible because there are no visible metal clasps and the material itself blends with the tissue in your mouth so that you can make the most of your natural smile.

Should you have a problem retaining dentures, we are able to offer implant retained dentures to provide you with the comfort and support you need.

Removing your dentures at night will allow your gums to rest after supporting your dentures all day and during meals. It’s important to place your dentures in water or denture solution to prevent them from drying out, as this can cause them to change shape and affect the fit and comfort.

When you have missing teeth, the contour of your gums can change over time therefore you will need to have the base relined from time to time so your denture still fits securely and comfortably.

Also mouth cancers and ulcers can occur under your dentures and go undiagnosed for some time. Attending regular dental visits enables your dental practitioner to ensure your mouth stays healthy.

Overtime dentures that were once fitting snug may not feel as tight or comfortable. This is due to the levels of bone in the jaw. If we have empty spaces in our mouths where teeth used to be, or no teeth at all, the bone beneath the gums tends to resorb over time. Therefore, your dentures may begin to not sit flush against your gums. Not to worry though! Adding more material to your dentures, “relining” them will fix this for you.

Yes! Dentists are not only dentists for teeth, but they are also dentists for all the soft tissues of you mouth! It is just as important to visit the dentist without teeth as it is to visit with teeth.

Rinsing and brushing dentures with warm or cold water each day will help remove any loose food built up throughout the day. Soaking dentures in water with a denture tablet overnight is also a good way to keep them fresh. Returning to your dentist for regular check-ups will allow you to have your dentures professionally cleaned. Dentures can still attract plague and calculus build up, so it is important to have them cleaned by your dentist every few months.

Call the clinic as soon as you can. We will need you to attend to either assess the broken pieces for repair or we may need to take new impressions to have your dentures re-made.
